
Orthopaedic Surgery & Regenerative Medicine
Dr. Chadwick Prodromos MD is board certified in both Orthopaedic Surgery and Regenerative Medicine.
He is a native of the Chicago area. He received his BA degree from Princeton University, his MD from Johns Hopkins, served his surgical internship at the University of Chicago, his Orthopaedic Surgery residency at Rush Presbyterian St. Luke’s Medical Center and his Orthopaedic and Sportsmedicine fellowship at the Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital.
He served as Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery for 27 years at Rush University before scaling back his activities to focus on regenerative medicine. He continues to perform surgery at Rush and conduct research in their motion analysis laboratory where he is an internationally recognized expert in gait analysis.
He is excited to provide cutting edge stem cell and platelet rich plasma treatments at The Nassau Stem Cell Institute, of which he is co-founder with Dr. Graham Cates.
Dr. Prodromos is editor in chief of “The Anterior Cruciate Ligament: Reconstruction and Basic Science.” Now in its second edition, it is the standard worldwide textbook on the ACL for Orthopaedic Surgeons. He is author of dozens of papers in the peer reviewed medical literature and is a reviewer for the three primary Orthopaedic Sportsmedicine Journals.
Dr. Prodromos is President of the Illinois Sportsmedicine and Orthopaedic Centers and Medical Director of the FOREM (the foundation for Orthopaedics and Regenerative Medicine), a 501 c3 non-profit foundation that carries out regenerative medicine clinical research, and provides education to the general public on stem cell clinical treatment.
Dr. Prodromos has performed more than three thousand stem cell and platelet rich plasma treatments for arthritis, tendon injuries and related disorders as part of a prospective study that is the largest such study by an Orthopaedic Surgeon in existence to our knowledge. He is a founding member of the American College of Regenerative Medicine, and chairman of its institutional Review Board.
Dr. Prodromos maintains his primary office in the Chicago area with a satellite office in Naples Florida. He is excited to provide cutting edge stem cell and platelet rich plasma treatments at The Nassau Stem Cell Institute, of which he is co-founder with Dr. Graham Cates.
Dr. Prodromos is married to Marilyn Hatz DDS and is a partner with her in the TMJ Institute.
